gas heat reading
Anyone with Gas heat? How do you call in your meter to keyspan? Meaning how do you read the meter?

you can do it online. there are instructions on the website. we are on balanced billing,so we dont do it anymore. its pretty easy.

if you are calling it in, just tell them where the dial reads. If it is inbetween 2 numbers, you tell them the 2 numbers it is between.. that's it.
They are actually read from right to left, so the first dial reading does effect the one next to it.
BTW - Even if you have balanced billing, you should call in a reading every few months (especially if you ahve gas heat). It will keep the BB amount more accurate
