Gas lines tonight ...
So.. in this weather, what do you think the lines are like right now? 
(I'm not debating going out to fill up .. I'm just genuinely curious what everyone thinks!)
My guess is it's pretty empty .. At least I HOPE that nobody is out now risking their lives to top off their tank!

Really I thought the same thing earlier. But I'm on gas buddy and not finding anything. It seems the ones near me get there deliveries in the morning.

I have a half tank & passed a gas station on my way home that had 3 cars in line. I was in & out in 5 mins. I would've never waited with a half tank but that was too good to pass up!

Filled up at BJs in Farmingdale today at around 11:30a...waited a little over an hour.
My Friend's husband went to the same BJs at around 330p and only waited a half hour.

Well, I was crazy enough to go and fill up tonight in this weather. There were plenty of people on line but it was pretty organized, I think I waited around a half hour.

It's times like this that I really really wish I had been more receptive to my DH's brillant idea of buying a Chevy Volt.
Though if you don't have power, you can't charge the car.
But we have power- just no gas.
That thing would be a freaking GOD SEND right about now!
It can go up to 38 miles with NO gas at all- just a charge from a regular outlet in your home.
Then you come home and recharge it.
For my commute to work and home I would NEVER need to use any gas.

My DH got gas this morn by us around 7am and he was shocked to see NO line... He filled up the car he was in and then went back home to get our other car and fill up... That's how short the line was!!!! He was so excited LOL

Does the gas buddy app say there is "no fuel" at that station? Motorists are probably relying on false information on the app.
This seems to be happening with the GULF stations. I waited 1 hr 15 minutes for gas in Jamaica, Queens yesterday and the Gas Buddy app said "no fuel" when in fact, there were 3 gas stations around the South Queens area which either got constant fuel deliveries or never ran out.
I had to update the status to 'Has Fuel as I was getting gas; and some jerk changed it back to "No Fuel" about 20 min later, when in fact, I was right across the street the entire time watching cars fill up!

DH got gas at the station off exit 58 (north side) about an hour ago and there was absolutely no wait. He drove right in! Of course, they were charging $4.50/gallon but he wasn't complaining! They did have a 10-gallon limit.
