Gas Pain Relief Drops at every feeding....is it safe, what do you do?

So since yesterday evening till now I have been giving my DS pain relief drops with every feeding. His gas is pretty much non existent. He is still on similac advance and I though I would have to change it due to his gas pains but now that I'm giving him the drops he seems to be doing just fine.

The directions says it's safe I was just wondering if I really need to do it at every feeding? What do you do?

I put it in every bottle. She doesn't get 12 bottles per day which is the max on the mylicon directions. I personally feel totally fine giving her the recommended dosage with each bottle.

the dr had suggested mylicon drops when DD was an infant. we used them in every bottle. she said they are natural and no cause for concern in using them often. she said they wouldnt work as well if I didnt give it enough

I gave the drops to my DS for a week then thought the same as you and switched formula to similac sensitive. The sensitive is for fussiness and gas and has cured all problems. I also used this for my DD and loved it. Ask your doctor about switching formula but mine said it was okay just as long as you dont switch formulas too soon and try too many.

I was annoyed that drs rec meds to me before switching formulas!

Turns out when I switched also to Sim Sensitive, DD was a new baby and never needed a med again. Never got gas again. Talk to your dr about switching, IMO that will help and avoid taking the meds.
