Mylicon infant gas-relief drops recalled

About 12,000 units of Mylicon drops to relieve gas for infants were recalled Monday because some bottles could include pieces of metal.

Johnson & Johnson- Merck Consumer Pharmaceuticals Co. recalled certain bottles of nonstaining Mylicon gas-relief dye-free drops.

The recalled drops were sold in 1-ounce plastic bottles that were distributed to stores and pharmacies after Oct. 5. They were sold over the counter. The bottles are from lots SMF007 and SMF008. These numbers are printed on the bottom of the box and on the lower-left side of the sticker on each bottle.

The recall does not include any bottles of original infant's Mylicon gas-relief products or half-ounce bottles of nonstaining Mylicon gas relief dye-free drops.

I just saw this. The new bottle I have is fine, but I am worried about the one I just finished This is really terrible

i am lucky, the bottle i have is not from those lot #s - but what about those poor babies that were given the affected mylicon??

I just had a panic attack unitl I found our bottle. We use the dye free so it seems like we are ok.

Thank you for posting! I just picked up the generic bottle last month but I just finished a 1oz bottle. The bottle I have seems to be okay though.
