Gas price related question
Someone brought this to my attention the other day and I realize I've been affected by it too. Maybe you have also.
I signed a contract for something a few months ago and the price was elevated over the norm because of gas prices. I can totally understand that, people raising prices when there is travel/gas involved.
But here we are, gas has dropped over $1.00 since then, and my price is still the same!
Have you heard this in the past few months, and has the price gone down now? Do you think people are just taking advantage now or assuming that gas is going to rebound any second?

Re: Gas price related question
I would be surprised if contract prices were adjusted downward. That's a risk people take locking in rates. These companies probably got a burned a bit in the past couple of years with low locked in rates before the price of gas/oil/etc skyrocketed. It goes both ways.

I was thinking about this also
I my poland spring water has a fuel surcharge on the bill
and gas is cheaper then it was 2 years ago now
I don't think it's fair for companies to charge it anymore- but I am sure they will

I was going to say the same thing. It's not a matter of what the gas prices are now; it's what it was when you signed your contract.
Why would gas companies take a cut if they didn't have to KWIM?
This is exactly why we don't ever sign a contract and lock in at a rate.
