GD question - low blood sugar
I am 35 weeks and the past 2 days my fasting number were 65, and 69, and the meter alerted me it was low blood glucose. Should I be worried? I ate breakfast and then they were fine, I'm just not sure what or why this happens...

Re: GD question - low blood sugar
I think I mentioned to you before but the last few weeks of my pregnancy my GD basically went away and my sugars were dropping out pretty low (in the 60's) almost daily. I started to eat more normally, I stopped being very restrictive with my carbs, and I adjusted my insulin. By the time my DD was born at 39 weeks my GD was almost entirely gone.
Just be careful when it's in the 60's. I would start to get very weak, jittery, and my heart would race. The best way to get your sugars up FAST is by drinking milk. It has a ton of natural sugars and it will get your sugars level pretty quickly. Also, pick up some sugar tabs at the drugstore in case your sugars get too low and you're out and not able to get food/drink fast.

some people it goes away towards end of pregnancy...... mine it got worse and needed my pill upped.....
my nurse/dr had told me if it went under 70 to drink 1/2 cup of juice then retest in like 15 minutes....One time I felt weak, and about to pass out while getting breakfast, went to take the reading and it was like 68

Re: GD question - low blood sugar
Are you on medication? If so, I would definitely give your doctor a call and see if they recommend changing anything. You definitely don't want it going lower than that.

No, no medication, just diet and testing sugars
