Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
DS is almost 2 and I love him to pieces. I have always felt like I connected to little boys, more so then girls. We're hoping TTC for DC #2 this year and I can't help wish for another DS.
Of course, I would love my DD. Does anyone else feel this way?

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I didn't have a preference with my first. I had a daughter. When I was pregnant the second time, I hoped for another girl because I LOVED having a girl and thought sisters would be awesome. I had another girl.

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I feel the same way. I wanted a girl in the worst way, but was blessed with a beautiful baby who I love more than any thing. He is my first. I do hope that I have a girl when we TTC again (which won't be any time soon... ) because growing up I've always wanted to have a daughter who I'd be close with, just like I am with my Mom. Though if I were blessed with another boy, I would not complain....as long as the baby is healthy, that's all that matters to me

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I felt the same way (wanting another of the same sex). Before having kids I thought I needed to have a girl someday. When DC#1 was a boy, it didn't matter to me anymore what the next children would be. Healthy was #1. Then I found out it was twins... and I though PLEASE let one be a boy, so I could re-use all his stuff and he could have a brother.

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I had a surprise pregnancy with my 4th child. I already had 3 boys and like you I felt more conntected to boys then girls so I kind of wanted another boy. Apparently God had other plans and I am so grateful because my DD is so much fun. I think whatever the gender one conceives it was just meant to be.

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I am pregnant with number two and we're team green. I would LOVE to have a son, but thre is part of me that's hoping for a girl for a few reasons.
I want to re-use DDs things, our last bedroom is downstairs, kind of far from us, so if I had a girl her and DD could share her room and I would love for her to have a sister.

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I wanted boys. No question. Then I had DD. She changed my mind Then I got pregnant again and was hoping for another DD so she could have a sister and I could have another awsome little girl. And I did. And I am totally blessed, they are both the coolest little girls. I would like to try for another soon, and this time around I would like a DS. Ofcourse I would be blessed with a healthy child and thats all I could ask, but I think I would feel "complete" with a DS. I think DH would love another girl. Everyone thinks he wants the boy but its the other way around. They can tapdance on him and he would glow

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I love having two of the same sex. In my mind they will grow up to be best friends and do everything together. Obviously I know that the opposite sex siblings can be close to - but in my head this was what I wanted.
Now I'm onto #3 and I have no preference. I love the dynamic between my boys and think they would be soooo cute with a little girl. I also think a little boy would fit in perfectly with them. Just give me a healthy, happy baby and I'm all good.

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
i had a DD first.... i cried @ my 20wk sono when the tech told me my 2nd was a boy i thought NO way i could ever connect with a boy, i wanted another girl 3 years later and i am SO beyond in love with my DS i would be thrilled to have another little boy again! i was so crazy and wrong! so it can go either way and once your child arrives it doesn't matter what they are.

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
DH has an almost 15 yr old boy, we have a 5 yr old DD together. IF we have another, I kinda hope for a boy because SS was soooo much more easy going then DD but she is also so fun in so many ways. I don't think I would really care, just like to experience both as a mother.

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I always said I wanted one of each.
Now that I have DS I think I would be thrilled to have another little guy I would like to have that mother daughter relationship though, I am so so close with my mom and it is such a special relationship bw mama and daughter so I think I would miss not having that.

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I already have a DD. If I could plan...I'd have another girl next and a boy last.
I always wanted girls. I'm not close to my Mom...and I wanted a little girl to be close with. Now that I have DD....I have so much BEAUTIFUL stuff (clothes, headbands, etc) that I am DYING to use them all again
I also feel like...I dont know what to do with a boy if that makes sense.
I of course would be happy just to have a healthy baby, don't get me wrong, but I want to take out the little newborn dresses again

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I'm team this time. I would LOVE to have another so DS could have a brother. I'm not really hoping, but it would be nice. I have people telling me know OH! a girl this time! I hope you have a girl now! That really annoys me. Like they'll be disappointed if I had another boy
Before I had kids I always wanted 2 or 3 girls. Now, girls scare me! I'm sure I would be fine but I'm so used to boys stuff now.

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
There is just something so special about brothers . I always thought when I was younger that two boys and then a girl would be great. Then, I hear such crazy stuff about how hard girls are, and people having such difficult time...lol! I think it sounds nuts! How hard could these precious little girls be?
That said...a girl would be great, and so would having another boy! Congrats

Re: Gender Preference (NOT what you think)
I always wanted atleast one of each. Didn't really care about gender with my 1st as it's just exciting being pregnant (had a boy), but with my 2nd, since i had a DS already, in my heart I really wanted a girl. Infact me and my DH cried at our level II, when we heard the words. I really would have been fine having another boy though. I really didn't care one way or another, but if I am honest I am glad I had a girl for the 2nd (especally b/c I think I am done having kids). I know we are blessed to have both and it's so much fun being able to experience both. My DS is all boy-cars, trains, legos and my DD is so girly girl-loves princesses, dora, shoes, pocketbooks
I dont look at 2 of the same gender as meaning they will definitely have a close relationship. I have a sister, we are close in age (2 years and 10 months apart), but dont talk at all. My friends DH is not close at all to his brother who is a couple years older then him. My DH also has brothers, they are older then him and close in age and get along pretty good now, but still aren't very close (they had a tough relationshop growing up) but both are close to my DH who is 9 and 13 years younger then his brothers.
