Getting 6 month old to sleep in crib

My DD is 6 months old and has been sleeping in a swing since she was born due to reflux. We couldn't lay her flat at all. Doc said it was the best place for her. She always slept 10 hours through the night since 5 weeks old in swing. For the past month or so, I have noticed she is waking up a lot throughout the night, moving around, arching her back, looks like she is trying to get comfortable. Anyway, I am thinking it may be time to try and get her in her crib. I have tried before but she twists and turns and ends up with her face in the mattress screaming!!!! Any ideas?! I already put the breathable bumpers as she was getting her limbs stuck and her crib is empty of blankets, toys, etc.

My 6 month old is just getting into his crib nowChat Icon

He also slept great in his swing. I went through this with my first DS too (also needed to sleep in swing due to reflux) and I remember after a few days, they will get used to it.

Also, at 6 months you can let them cry a bit while they get settled. Good luck and hang in there!

I also have the breathable bumpers. Thy jst have to get used to it. They are not used to having so much room and I think it startles them to be moving/flopping around so much.

It is going to take some time to get use to...DS has reflux and slept in the swing too, but at 3 months I knew I had to do something. We put the mattress on an incline and it was HORRIBLE he NEVER STTN until I did CIO at 5.5 months.i HAD o i am a FTWM and he used to wake up 5-6 times a night! He now sleeps 10 hours a night. If he does wake up in the middle of the night I let him whine for a few minutes then I go in there put the paci in his mouth rub his check and he is usally back out again in 2 mins.

eta: I put DS in the crib in one spot...everytime I look on the monitor he is in a differenst spot. He is ALL over the crib. He eventually ends up on his belly with his butt in the air
