Getting your twins to Sleep
My husband and I took Parent Sense, Inc’s Sleep Workshop when our twins were about six months old. The class is taught by Rebecca Kammerer, a nanny for 14 years, and her partner, Beth Karcher who has her MBA and after having kids developed a passion for helping parents survive the first few years. We thought they were very down to earth and presented the information in a way easy to understand. They gave us three different styles of sleep training to choose from; Sleep from the Start, Gentle Method and Timed Cry. The class setting was very casual and informal, allowing us ample time to ask questions in an open, friendly and supportive environment. At the time we took the class we were so sleep deprived and had read a few books, but just needed a little more guidance and someone to talk to directly. They were able to make suggestions to meet the individual needs of our twins. We were able to use what we learned from the workshop to help our twins learn to fall asleep on their own. We used the Timed Cry method and although it was hard, our twins eventually got it and began falling asleep on their own. We also love the fact that they gave us a packet of Daily Schedules that included the newborn stage to just over a year. Their schedules even include how to wean the baby from an overnight feeding and how to incorporate solids into your schedule. These are great to reference how much sleep, food intake, and activity our babies would need as they grow. Beth and Rebecca are also available by phone or email to help as you start your sleep training. I highly recommend this workshop for those who want to learn how to get their children sleeping through the night. Although we have twins, the sleep workshop is perfect for someone who does not have twins, too. Good luck!-Lisa
