GHI and ivf meds coverage
I did ivf 3 years ago and all meds were covered, aside from some small co pays. I always hear the buzz about ordering the max of meds bc we are only covered for a certain amount. (With GHI). I am beginning a new fresh cycle now. What should I expect as far as coverage. I expected to be fully covered again.

GHI and ivf meds coverage
You get three fills lifetime so that's why you should always order the max.

That's what I don't understand. Most of the meds are only good for one year. So how do u order the max?

Well I ordered Gonal and got nine or ten boxes. Used them for two cycles until I got bfp. Hopefully this sticks and if/when I want a second, i will use my second order.

The expiration date is tricky. My friend had a box that said expiration was 7/13. When she opened the box, she found that the saline expired 7/13 but the powder expiration wasn't until 10/13. Always check the contents before tossing a box because you think the contents are expired because it may only be the saline that expires on the date stamped on the box.

When I did my ivf 3 years ago, I only got one gonal f pen. So does this mean I can get 2 more? I'm pretty sure I only got one of everything.

Yes, only good for 1yr but if it doesn't work...you have meds for next cycle
Fingers crossed it works first time.
