Ghi people- more bills from quest?
For those that have Ghi, did quest send you a bill for $15 for bloodwork ran in the office? I just received 3 bills from blood drawn in August at two REs (one billed over two days for different tests) so 45 total. I thought my $30 copay covers it, but ghi told me the bloodwork was an additional fee?? I don't ever remember getting bills from quest back when I went to the RE for my DS. Just wondering if I should expect more bills in the future being that I had blood drawn maybe 5 more times after that.

Ghi people- more bills from quest?
When my re processes blood in house there is just a co pay with them. When they send it out its a bill from quest and their copay.
One for drawing, one for processing. That's my understanding at least.

The RE usually sends only specific tests to quest if they do it inhouse. For example, I had blood drawn last month and paid my copays but quest charged me for two sets-$15 each bc one was for amh and the other was for some specific CBC. That's how RSoNY does it.

Exactly. And they send out for certain tests and process others inhouse. Hope that helps!

Ghi people- more bills from quest?
I have gotten lots of $15 quest bills. I usually get a bunch in one week. I also pay a $15 copay for when they take BW and $15 copay for sono. It adds up pretty quickly.

Ok I gotcha, I didn't know the $30 copay didn't cover all bloodwork, since I've never encountered this. thanks for clarifying! Looks like I'll be getting a lot more of these.

$30 is likely your office/specialist copay, however the $15 / BW is the LAB copay/coinsurance. Very different fees.

My RE was not considerd a specialst according to my GHI plan - so $15 copay for office visit. I had $15 copay for bloods processed in house and specific bloods that were processed outside I received an additional $15 bill. So annoying and hard to keep track of.
