Gifts for daycare teachers
What is everyone giving their DC's daycare teachers?
Which of these things do you think would be best?

Re: Gifts for daycare teachers
I went back and forth on this. DS hasn't been there long, so I wasn't going to go crazy. I am just going to give them cash, because I figure that's what I would want if I were the teacher.
Gift cards are nice, but I don't know any of them well enough to know what they would use and I don't want to spend any extra time shopping, even just for gift cards.

Speaking as a former daycare teacher, ANY gift is appreciated. Any card with a picture the child drew is appreciated. Any recognition from the parents is what teachers live for. Because G-d knows we dont do it for the money.

I was going to do gift card but honestly, I think I'll just do cash as when you break it down - that's universal for thank you I might give a little gift (box of chocolates or something) just so I'm not giving just cash.

I got them last year, and will again this year, gc to Dunkin Donuts cause it's across the street and they all go there for morning and break coffee. Even the girl who didn't drink coffee last year thanked me a lot cause she loves their smoothies. I also got them little Lindt chocolate snowmen to gived with it.

Re: Gifts for daycare teachers
DD#1 isn't in daycare, but she goes to a drop-off babysitting group at a preschool 2 times a week. last year i gave starbucks gift cards, this year i gave vera bradley cosmetic bags (got the idea from someone on this site).
i have been told/was under the impression that cash could be considered "bad form"/"bribery". i initially wanted to give cash, but was talked out of it by my sister who is a teacher . i guess it all depends on the individuals and "school policy" (if the have one)...
