Oh my gosh...all it takes is a split second. I also feel terrible for the woman who hit the girl. She has to live with that accident for the rest of her life.

I cannot even imagine what she must be feeling. I am sure she did everything she could to avoid hitting that child

I read this last night and it made me cry and cry... Cailen loves his Radio Flyer.
ETA and you know that dad will beat himself up and live those moments in his head on an endless loop for the rest of his life....

Horrifying. I saw this on the news last night and when I woke at 4AM with to feed Ryan I couldn't get back to sleep b/c this was on my mind. Poor Maggie, poor maggie's daddy, Poor woman who hit her - so many lives ruined.

The name of the woman - Erika Halweil - sounded so familiar! Turns out she is a yoga instructor in Sag Harbor..... I know a lot of yoga instructors because DH used to be one - i wonder if its someone he knew or knows....
