omg this is tragic - how terrible.
it makes you realize that you can't even take your eye off of your child for a second - it is all it takes! 
so scary -- how AWFUL for the driver.

I will say that where it happened is very dangerous and a very busy road. Anyone who lives along montauk highway should be very careful when it comes to young children.
All the cops out here are a little shaken up by this. It's such a horrible thing. Supposedly the father is going through a divorce and had the kids for the weekend.
What a horrible thing all around!!!
