Girls with irregular cycles-- how many OPK strips do you go through per cycle?
I feel like my testing window should be fairly long in order to really get a sense of when I O.
I generally have a 34/35 day cycle-- but, since being off BC, it can be more erratic.
I am thinking I should start testing from CD 10 to CD 20-- at least until I have a sense of what my body is doing and when-- is this excessive?

not at all!
That's what I have to do. My cycles range from 28-40 days.... (40 is abnormally long for me, usually they are 32 days).
I started testing this month at CD 10 since they are so erratic... got my positive on CD 17.

not excessive at all!!!
I only used 2 strips this month CD 9 and then my surge was CD 10. Thank goodness for OPK's because I never would start BD so early, I would be missing the day every time!

Re: Girls with irregular cycles-- how many OPK strips do you go through per cycle?
ok thanks-- I guess the first month I use them-- if I go through 10-- no big deal. At least I will get a sense as to when I O.
I can't temp cause I sleep horribly and I feel like I always have a lot of CM -- there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
I am trying to be real laid back about this-- but, if peeing on a stick gives me a little sense as to when my days will be, it's worth it rather than inventing symptoms, etc.

Re: Girls with irregular cycles-- how many OPK strips do you go through per cycle?
I am right with you. I've been off BCP since Sept and have only had 2 cycles. One was 48 days and the last was 31, so I have no clue as to what my cycles really are. This month I started using OPK's on CD10 and I'm now on CD 16 with no positive. I'm on my second box of OPK's since I'm using the CBE digital and feel like I'm wasting my time and money on these things. I'm hoping for a positive soon so i can have some sense of what is going on with my body. Good luck to you!!

I used to go through 10-over 20 strips a month. I bought these in bulk link to save money, and they worked great.

I would start on day 10 and just keep going until you get a postive read...you might need to go through a boatload of OPK's, but it will be worth it to give you a sense of when you O.

I don't think its excessive. My cycles are ranging from 31-40 days. I used 11 OPKs last month. I start around day 15
