To those who say she doesn't and can relate, you are in denial.
If she is AFRAID to gain 10 lbs....that is a symptom of an eating disorder, clear and simple.
Thank you for calling this out! There are a lot of women I know of who are naturally very slim but were still able to conceive because they eat/live healthfully. I smell an eating disorder pure and simple.

She has body image issues, that is for sure. What I find sad are all the negative comments that she is disgusting, selfish, too thin, etc...I think it is a terrible addiction, and very hard to overcome. It is sad that there is such a stigma associated with mental disease.

I hear what the pp is saying, but I'd have to imagine that Casey Anthony also suffers from mental disease to enable her to do what she did. There are alcoholics who drive drunk because they are addicted to alcohol, but want to go to work. Although these are all very different scenarios, they have one point in common: when someone else's welfare (in G's case, she has promised Bill she'd have a child with him) is at stake, and your disease gets in the way and causes you to put the desires and priorities that you have above others' dreams, safety, or lives, the behavior is selfish, however sorry you feel for the person.
It is selfish of her to 1) promise Bill that they'd attempt to have a certain life together and then hold back from doing the most basic essential things to get healthy; and to 2) go on TV to address women who are already doing more than she's clearly willing to do about a problem she claims to have in common with them when, as she admits, she's too concerned with her appearance to give herself a fair shot at seeing if she really does have trouble ttc (and maybe she does). It's an affront to women who really do struggle--and I think it made her look foolish.
I can understand what causes her to act like this but still be disgusted by her actions.

She would definitely vomit if she saw me naked right now at 19 weeks pregnant. . . for her own sanity, she should put the TTCing on hold until she deals with her own issues.

I agree with this. She does need to work on her own issues before trying to get pregnant.

I don't doubt that she has some body imagine issues.... with the pressure of Hollywood, being on TV and interviewing teeny tiny celebrities all the time, I can't be surprised.
But let's not jump to conclusion. She never said during the interview that she wouldn't gain the weight. In fact, she said she's gained 5lbs already. She basically said that when her Dr. told her she had to gain 10lbs, it came as a shock to her and made her a little nervous.
A lot of people are acting like she refuses to gain the weight and cares more about her body and herself than her and her DH's desire to have a child.

KGools, I haven't seen the interview -- but the OP states that she said she would not gain the additional 5 pounds... Now, I don't know which of you is correct, but I'd venture to say THAT is where people on this thread got the idea that she would not gain the rest of the weight.

I don't recall her saying that.
I'd have to go back and watch the interview (I think you can watch on ABC.com).
Like I said earlier, I don't doubt she has some issues, but I almost feel bad for how judgemental people are being... even Barbara and Whoopi - they were hounding her. If she really does have an eating disorder or the likes, then the last thing she needs is to be told how selfish she is or to be judged. That's just my opinion though.
ETA: I just went back and watched the clip of the interview where they talk about weight... they said they are working on gaining more weight beyond the five lbs she's already gained. So she never said she refuses to gain more weight.

ITA. I don't know who she is, but to say she is selfish is really unfair. She doesn't want to gain weight to have a baby- to me that means on some sub conscious level she just isn't ready, which isn't selfish at all.
I hope she gets the help she needs.
