Glass Shower Door and bathing DC.....

I see this being a problem .... we only have 1 shower in the house. Does anyone problems with bending over and getting to your child in the bath with these P.I.T.A. doors? I don't want to take them off !

Re: Glass Shower Door and bathing DC.....

We do! DD is still little and we use the infant tub, and luckily have enough bathroom counter space to manage for now. But I am dreading when she is bigger and needs to be in the tub.

I'm thinking we'll get one of those side of the tub stool/seat things for me to sit on since its so awkward, and maybe put a towel over the tracking (where the doors slide) on the tub so they don't hurt DD inadvertantly when taking her in & out.

Any other suggestions would be welcome also!!

There is a product from one step ahead that is a blue mat that goes over the edge of the tub and it has a cut out for the shower door too. It also comes with a mat for you to kneel on. I use it on our regular tub and love it.

For some reason though, I can't find it on the website right now. here is a link that shows it in the picture, but I can't find the listing for the product itself.

no suggestions... We are dealing with the same issue! Sydney is too big for the infant tub now and it really stinks!!! We are considering taking out the shower doors because its just so difficult!!!! We always bath her together still and there is no way the 2 of us can squeeze into one side of the shower doorsChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

We have a huge blow up duck bath that is supposed to go inside the regular bath but we just use it outside the bath for now.

We ended up taking the shower doors down and putting up a curtain. Make life much easier. This was for a bath tub though, not sure how that might work on a shower stall.

Same problem here. We've been considering taking the doors down also, but then the track is still there and we don't want to redo the bathroom now. Right now, DH gives DS the bath and I hold the shower sprayer for when he needs it. It's not efficient at all, but we haven't figured out a better way.
