Glucophage/Metformin question
Asking the experts....
My friend takes Glucophage/Metformin for pre-diposition to diabetes. She is going to start TTC'ing for baby #2 soon and wonders if it would increase her chance for multiples. She has no fertility issues and already has a daughter.
TIA!

Re: Glucophage/Metformin question
no, the met is not a fertiltiy drug. People with PCOS take it to help balance hormone and insulin levels that will hopefully make them ovulate naturally.

could changing your diet make a difference with insulin levels that you wouldnt have to take the metforin?

Yes it can. But for alot of women (me included) a change in diet alone does not work, and the Met helps.
