Going back to work and pumping question...
I still have another 9 weeks BUT I was thinking....
I will prob have to pump 3x's while Im working (although Im hoping to go home and nurse on my lunch break- so that will make it 2x's)
What if my boss doesnt let me sneak away for 10 min at a time to pump????
I mean I guess- she could think I left my desk to go to the bathroom BUT when Im leaving the same time for the same time everyday- wont she get suspicious..
Is there any kinda law or whatever that protects BFing moms who need to pump???

Re: Going back to work and pumping question...
I was originally planning to pump when I went back to work. My boss is very understanding but I work with all guys. I just don't want to deal with explaining that I am pumping milk. I'd probably feel differently if I worked with women.

I replied to your other post but just wanted to add that most of the people in my office, especially men, didn't even know I was pumping for months and months until I told them. As long as your boss knows the situation you should be OK. Nobody expects anyone to sit at their desk for ALL 8 hours. People get up and move around-they go to the bathroom, to meetings, to other people's offices, to the fax machine, to get coffee etc. etc. People will just assume you stepped away and will be back shortly.
To answer the OP-yes, by law your are entitled to 2 pumping breaks and a private place where you would be able to pump.
