Going for Brazillian Straightening Today! Updated with PICS! Don't Laugh at the Before's lol
I am very nervous, i was thinking for a long time about getting japanese, but decided to try this instead, since its not permanent.
I am still scared as heck, as i love my hair and don't want to ruin it.
My friend is a hairdresser over at majestic in seaford and she is doing it for me.
I will post before after pics
I am doing the 24 hour one, so i can wash my hair tomorrow after 3pm, i go back the next day for a blow out, and they give you shampoo and conditioner to use as well.
Before pics this is my hair air dryed

This was a few days later, all i did was wash my hair and blow it dry, i had to section it a couple times and it takes me about 15 minutes to dry it straight
My hair still has body, and isnt pin straight
I love it!!!!

Good luck! I'm sure you will love it. I did it last summer and my hair was shiny and straight all summer in the humidity.

It looks great!!!! I'm SOOOOOOO tempted to do this! My hair is curly in some parts, wavy in others and looks like yours if I let it air dry without any products! Takes me forever to dry my hair straight!
Can you still leave your hair curly if you want? Did you have to section it AND use a brush to blow dry it (like they do at the salon) - or did you just section it and use like your fingers to dry it?
Sorry for all the questions. With your post and the other recent ones, I'm REALLY thinking about doing this!

Looks good, but do you HAVE to blow dry it in sections to straighten it? As wit JHS, you can just was and go and that is what makes it so appealing. Also, could you wear it curly if you want to?

I love it and it looks great!!
When you dry it, do you need to put the effort into straightening it and it just dries faster OR can you just use a paddle brush and it dries 1-2-3 straight like that even the ends nicely tucked under.

To answer all the questions
It isn't wash and go, I never wore my hair curly, but people who have curly hair, yes you can wear your hair curly and it won't be frizzy.
After i shower, I take about 15 minutes to blow my hair dry, i section it about 3 times. and its pin straight.
Its different than JHS, it takes about 1.5-2 hours, JHS takes alot longer, especially if you have hair like mine, probably would of taken me about 5 or 6 hours.
Good thing about brazilian is it doesnt grow out, so you won't see the roots, it gradually washes out. Its not permanent, so its not damaging to your hair, its more like a very deep conditioning treatment using heat to lock it in.
I didn't want my hair pin straight, i like that i still have body to my hair, its just not frizzy
It used to take me over an hour and a half to blow and iron my hair to get it how it is now and it takes me 15 minutes with no ironing.
