going from bottles to sippy cups...
Any advice on how to do it?
Jacen LOVES his water and will drink it with no problems out of his sippy cup. We introduced that at 6 months. But he will not drink milk out of it.
Other than going cold turkey, any other advice on how to do it?

How long have you been trying the milk sippy?
When we started milk at 12 months, we only gave it in a sippy, no bottle. She resisted for a while, but as we cut formula and increased milk, she went with it eventually.

Re: going from bottles to sippy cups...
We bought all kinds of sippys for her to try - but always ended up giving her the bottle. Finally We went cold turkey, but I let her choose from two different types of sippy cups. Took about 2 days from going cold turkey until she accepted the bottle was history. I think it was really hard when she was at daycare and the other kids her class had bottles.

for about a month. I'll admit it though, not a 100% consistent with it though.
Should i gradually be introducing it or for all feedings?

Re: going from bottles to sippy cups...
We just gave him formula out of it....we didnt give milk at all until 12 months. We didnt transition off bottles until around 11 months. We introduced the sippy at 6 months but not as his sole source of drinking. We just gave it to him with formula in it, while he got used to the idea of it. Once he would drink formula out of it, at 11 months, we transitioned one bottle to a sippy cup about every three-five days. Last bottle to go was the night time bottle, that was done at about 13 months.

I'd probably try giving it with all feedings. If he uses it with water, he knows how to use it and is just being stubborn.

I give him milk in the sippy every day w/ breakfast. At first he was hesitant - now it's no problem.
