Goldenrod - I will take that "worst mommy award" now please
miki wanted to help me make the grilled cheese for dinner. I was holding her and she was helping me flip the bread when she got a burn on the side of her finger. Ugh, she was crying for awhile but now just took the bandaid off and said it felt better
it is definitely blistered  anything I can/should do?

well, DS got two second degree burns on his legs when he got a hold of my curling iron last year and it fell in his lap
Talk about mommy of the year.
Twice a day we changed the bandage. Put neosporine and some rx zinc stuff on it. That should help.

I am a burn magnet..
Cortisone cream on it and let her sleep w/o a band aid, the air is good for it. Then bandage it when she is at the sitter's tomorrow

Aw, she's going to be OK.
Just make sure you don't put a bandage over cortisone cream. Apparently it makes you absorb the steroid into your skin more so than if it is left open.

Keep it clean, tylenol helps the best with burn pain, try not to do ice it causes rebound pain. If the blister gets bad the dr can give you silverdine (?Spelling) it helps.

just an fyi for future burns. if you make a paste out of baking soda and water it makes the pain go away - nice and soothing.
