Good & inexpensive locations for bridal shower
I'm in a bridal party and we are looking for suggestions on places to hold the bridal shower - my friends sister suggested The Melting Pot - but they want $29-$32 per person - I think that is crazy...so I'm trying to find someplace that is nice and inexpensive...preferably in Nassau or western Suffolk. Any suggestions?

hmm - mine was around what the melting pot gave you price-wise. also, my sister's was around that too.  i think, at a lot of places, that is the going rate. but you might be able to find a buffet for less!
try maybe a nice chinese buffet? or ask a restaurant you like if they have a more economical buffet option?

I had a party for my DH at Katy Daly's in Massapequa. I can't remember the price exactly bc it was 2 years ago but it was reasonable and they were nice and the food was very good. Sergios in Massapequa is also another that people rave over. I can't quote prices for them either but I know it is def reasonable.

Hmmm... that sounds pretty reasonable. There is a place in the city called Essex that charges $16 per person. Check out their website.

When I was shopping for an inexpensive location, the only thing I found was the Chinese Buffet.
And that's where we held it.

Im interested too. I have 60-65 people for a shower for my BF, and at those prices per girl it is a bit much.

What kind of food?
My shower was at Dominco's in Levittown. It was good and everyone loved it! ETA it's Italian.

My bridal shower (the place closed down), but, my baby shower was a Sunday Brunch held at Nocello's in Northport.
Everyone really liked it.
I *think* it was 20-25 p/p.

Lady Anne's vintage tea room in Levittown is very nice
Jackie Reilly's in Bethpage
Bertuccis also holds showers.

My bridal shower was at West Sayville Country club... I can't imagine it was too expensive bc my bridal party paid for it and I know they tried to keep costs down.
They did a phenomenol job there and the food was great.

Finn MacCools in Port Washington and Luigi's in New Hyde Park-both have really nice party rooms are were very reasonable.
Also check out George Washington Manor. We had my mom's retirement there. Lots of different rooms to choose from-although I don't recall the cost right now.

We had my sister's 50th bday party at Shandon Court in East Islip. We opted for a pretty expensive cocktail package... but I remember noting that the shower packages were VERY reasonable. The food was really decent and the rooms were lovely.

I just had my baby shower at Sal's Place in North Massapequa and it was $23.95 per person.
Awesome food...great atmosphere.

Check out Ruvo in Greenlawn for the "luncheon". Online it states $23 per person. They have a private room, it's a beautiful restaurant and their food is excellent.
I'd call places like:
34 New Street in Huntington Village (with parking across the street)
105 Harbor in Cold Spring Harbor Around the same price as the Melting Pot, but the location is beautiful and the food is top notch. Very friendly staff and they're negotiable.
Mim's in Syosset - according to their website, they start at $27 pp.

Mine was @ Jani in Huntington, I think it is in Huntington the shopping Center where Buy Buy baby is by rt110. HTH
