good sam mommies. after c-section when do you and family get to see baby?

this will be my first time delivering at good sam. after my scheduled c-section, when does the family and ME get to see the baby?

do they wheel the baby by everyone in the hall?

do the people just look at the baby through the glass?

do they bring it in my room, then everyone comes in?

When I had DS, they wheeled him into the nursery and DH left when they were stitching me up. I went into recovery about 12ish? and they said I can go into my room when I can move, when the anesthesia wears off. It was about an hour. My family and DH went back and forth to see me in recovery and the baby. I'm pretty sure they only saw him through the glass until I went into my room. I remember bfing him at 2:00 and after that is when my family was able to hold him.

I'm a little different because I was under general anesthesia for mine, but...

DD was born at 10:23pm. I was in recovery by 10:50 or something like that. DD was in the nursery, where my family was able to see her through the glass windows. I had to wait until my pain was under control before going to my room. The nurses brought DD to me in my room at 2am.

Because it was late my family went home after seeing her, but I'm sure they could have come to my room when I went into it to spend time with her had it been normal hours.

I had such a good expereince at Good Sam. The nurses are unbelievable. Everyone was incredibly helpful.

They hold baby up to you as soon as they rake it out. Everyone else besides mom and dad can see from behind the glass. Recovery is usually 2 hrs or so with no complications, then everyone can see baby....
