Is he trying to fix the entire deficit in one year? Why not cut it significantly each year for 4 or 5 years. That way, the cuts and taxes aren't as drastic.
Unless I'm misreading it.
This is just stage 1. Future budgets will see similar flat funding levels.

this is why I am now more down the middle than strictly Democrat.
Republicans are known (for the most part anyway) to not increase taxes and for being fiscally conservative.
I sincerely hope that this truly was the LAST resort!
