granite question
Has anyone been to a granite place in Bohemia. I heard they give you free scraps and only charge you to cut the hole for the sink. Has anyone ever done this?

Hi any Granite place will give you small samples, if you are interested I bought my granite from a place in Brooklyn and they had the BEST price for granite then anyone that I know or even heard of and there service is very good. They charge 1 price (they dont charge you for a edge, sink cut-out, faucet hole(s) etc... ) The ride to there yard was well worth the money i saved, I was getting prices at 2-3 thousand more then what they charged me. And the best part was I was told 3-5 days from the time they measure to the time they install. It was also 1 1/4" thick not the 3/4 that you see.. We didn't go to the place in Bohemia. We wound up going to a place in Hauppauge near TGI Fridays on the south service road heading East. It set back so you cant really see it from the road unless you are looking for it. They did a great job and we are very happy with our granite. If you need the name let me know.

I'm looking for granite at about $45 a sq ft installed. I need some for a kitchen in a house I am trying to sell. I did find a place in Rocky Point next to Blackman's who advertises that they do it for that, but I don't know anything about them.
Is the place you mentioned in that price range?
