Green Thumbs! Can you tell me if this is a weed??THIS time with pic! ha
These "plants", or weeds were sooooo tiny (2 inches off ground) and then, it seemed over night they were 3 feet tall and sprouted tiny buds I'm not sure what they are, but I don't want to pluck them if they are alive plants, actually even if they are weeds I think they are pretty cute

I'm pretty sure its a plant. I think myneigbour has these. either way they are pretty.

Dude, I just paid money for those!! They are Dianthus otherwise known as "pinks"!!
If you take a hedge clipper and cut the flowers off when they're spent, they will keep reblooming for you. Some of them can spread a lot when they drop seeds so if you do want to contain them, make sure you clip those flowers off before they create seedheads.
They also come in lighter shades of pink and white. I just bought these:
and these:
I say keep them. However... If you don't want them, would you consider giving them to me?

I am soooo glad i didnt let him rip them out!!!!! YAY i have Dianthus' and didnt even know it !

its not dianthus..i ferget the name, I have a ton in my garden and they reseed like crazy. lemme check the gardening board

Not dianthus....I have 2 of them and every year I do not get any flowers. I planted them at my mother in laws and they flowerd and then died because she never waters them. It is a perennial so you will see them every year.

We call them ruby kings - they grow like crazy and are very durable. I moved and replanted a ton of them and they all survived.
