Grocery bills
I know it’s been asked but haven’t seen it in a while.
About hire much do you spend a week/month and how many people in your family?

Re: Grocery bills
Family of 4, $125/week, 2 different stores. Kids work so they pay for other food things they want so that helps.

Grocery bills
~$80 per week for regular groceries- family of 3. A couple times a month we stick up on meat for our freezer from the local butcher. That’s usually around $100-150

Grocery bills
Family of 4, I try to stick to $100/wk. I meal plan around sales, stick to seasonal produce. I’ll also hit Costco once every 6 weeks for about $150.

Grocery bills
On average about $650 a month for a family of four. I spend about $115 a week at the regular grocery store and then an extra $20 or $30 at Costco or Target on occasion and a few cases of granola bars from subscribe and save each month. BTW, we very rarely do take out our eat out so this is all meals.

Do you not eat out at all? I don’t include that as that is from our spending money, not grocery.
I shop at Walmart and then a smaller store to get my meats and produce and things I can’t get at Walmart.
I can only budget $125 so I will buy no name IF we like it. Some things are pretty and will spend the extra money.
I also will use coupons if I can.
I personally think grocery stores will cost you more.

We spend the same and get take out probably 1-2 times a week. I think this question is very relative and depends on how old your kids are and more importantly what you are buying. I buy all organic and we eat at lot of organic fruits and veggies. This adds up!

LOL. We have weeks where we spend WAY more, especially if we hit up BJs or Costco. Last Costco run was $500 and that was on top of regular groceries. Shopping at the warehouse stores kills your wallet so we try to not go more than once every month or two.

Wow! Would love to see your weekly receipt to see how you do it! I could never get everything on $200 per week!

Agreed. We recently pushed our budget up to $125 and have older kids. There is always “nothing to eat” though but I could spend $1,000 a week and still here the same thing lol. My youngest actually did some of their own shopping and spent $30 shopping on their own at Walmart and got some things I didn’t have to buy. So I went over my budget by $1 today :)

Grocery bills
Family of 3. We easily spend about $200-$250 a week. And supplement with BJs every other month or so ($300-$400). Grocery bills have gone up- we're home, so I'm making 3 meals a day and food has gotten more expensive in general. I try to but mostly organic. I am mostly plant based, but my husband and daughter eat meat. I do eat fish occasionally - which can be pricey. We are also dairy free. Accommodating the different diets is expensive (like i just don't eat cheese, but my daughter does and the dairy free ones are $$$). I eat tofu, which is cheap, but they won't eat it, so I'm making tofu and meat some nights- it's like a double cost dinner. I try to shop at different stores (Trader Joes, Shoprite, Stop & Shop, Food Bazaar) for things that are better priced. Trying to be more mindful lately, bc I do think we have tons of stuff in the house and sometimes food goes to waste.

Grocery bills
$120 a month at the butcher for meat and then $100-$150 weekly between Costco/ peapod and I alternate those weekly. 2 adults 2 kids and my husband has celiacs so we eat a lot naturally gluten free.
This includes paper towel and toilet paper I buy 1x a month

Grocery bills
$200 a week for a family of 4. My kids are older (18 and 21) and pretty much eat 24/7. I shop exclusively at Aldi's. Sometimes I will get meat from another source when the selections aren't great there.

My kids are dairy free and gluten free during months of seasonal allergies so finding alternatives has been an interesting task! I agree Miyokos is good! Their butter is not bad! Violife shredded mozzarella and smoked provolone is really good too.
