YOU are a fantastic dog owner and you set an example to A LOT of people out there! I commend you on all of the efforts you made to re-home your dog and the decisions you made, and no matter which route the situation might have gone, it just proves right here that you did the right thing! You guys are amazing! I'm glad all will work out!

What a wonderful update!! Great news!!
Please FM me the info on the aggressive rehab rescue. I cannot get any rescues to take my dachshund since he bit my daughter and am running out of options.

How is Daisy doing?
Better. She's still like static cling, but she's adjusting. I moved her food/water bowls to where Gus' were and she looked stunned It's better this was for all of us and now she's ok with it, but it did take 3 days of soft food to get her comfortable....i'm a sucker for her We have talked about a kitten and in the Spring if she is still really clingy and seems sad we'll go adopt from the pound. Sprig in our shelter is FULL of kittens/cats. If she's ok we'll just reevaluate in the fall and so on. I'm not 100% for another cat and neither is Joe, but Daisy is showing signs that she needs a friend to play with. She brought a toy to Emily and looked p*ssed that she couldn't play with her

Gus has a new forever home. They are so in love with him and the same for him with them. He sleeps in bed with them every night, and LOVES Tank and Roka. He's thriving and they have seen NO agression AT ALL. They had their son and his froends stay with them Sat-Suna nd yes he growled, but Tank put him inhis place and that was the end of it. Wendy said it's like he has always been there and they can't imagine not having him. I'm so excited for my lil man!
Thank you all again for the support and help. I know not everybody was happy about this in the beginning, but all of your comments helped me to see both sides. I am forever thankful. It was a hard decision to make, but in the end a miracle happened and Gus is living the life I always wanted for him.
I was going to post to you today, asking about everything so I am so glad to see this.
This is just wonderful. I think Gus just needed more space and other dogs to be around. How awesome. I am so GLAD you did not put him down. So happy in my heart. Now everyone can sleep well at night. Even Gus.
