Gym in the N. Bellmore Area
I just moved to N. Bellmore and I have been traveling to RVC to go to my gym. I have been going there for years and would hate to go somewhere else, but I think I want to explore my options. I am looking for an athletic club, not like a Lucille Roberts or Gold's type atmosphere. Any suggestions?
I'm going to post on the Diet & Fitness board too!

My brother lives in N. Bellmore and most of the people on their block go to the gym in Roosevelt Field. My brother and his wife really like it, plus they got discounts b/c she's a teacher & he's a cop.
I don't remember the name, and he's working right now, but I'll try to remember to ask him about it.

I used to belong to Titan Fitness in Merrick. It's tiny, but there's lots of machines and great classes.

Thanks! Any others? I heard something about World Gym in Wantagh, but it sounds like it would be expensive b/c it has a pool and racquet ball, etc. I don't need all of that!

Thanks! Any others? I heard something about World Gym in Wantagh, but it sounds like it would be expensive b/c it has a pool and racquet ball, etc. I don't need all of that!
I use to have a membership to World Gym (cancelled it in 2006). It was a great gym but it was $53 a month...I am sure it has gone up by now

World Gym in Wantagh is great...really good classes but it is $$$ We joined 2 years ago and got a family plan for DH and I and it was $107 a month. We have since moved but I really miss it.

Extreme Gym in Bellmore, Merrick Road.
I am joining September 1st (my aunt gave me a 3 month gift certificate) and then after I will join for the year.
It has a lot of great classes! and looks like the type of gym you are looking for.
Plus, I just bought a house in N. Bellmore and I could always use some gym motivation! lol
I would def. check it out. Let me know if you decide to join.

As for World Gym, I am paying $53/month now, so maybe they can match it for me. I was locked in at $49 for a while and they changed it this past year.
