Gym newbie
I've made a goal for myself to get healthy this year. U would like to loose 50lbs I'm going to the gym tomorrow after work with a friend for the first time in years. I plan on walking on the tread milk to start, and building up to zumba classes
What type of sneaker do you recommend?
And
What exercises to get rid of the spare tire I'm lugging around my waist
Thanks!

Sneakers are very personal. I would just go and try on a bunch.
As for the gym - if you are new id start slow and work your way up to more exercises/time/intensity. As for the "spare tire". There is no way to really spot train. You need to lose weight overall and oft will disappear from there.
Good luck!!!

Also remember diet.
When I cut back on carbs, the belly began to disappear.

Re: Gym newbie
Number one rule for the belly: lower your sugar intake. you would be shocked at all the hidden sugar in even healthy food. When I was eating healthy, I ate between 60-100 grams of sugar a day, and couldn't understand why I wouldn't lose anymore weight even when training for a half marathon!!!!
I have decreased my running (not by choice - I was struggling with my schedule) and decided to cut my sugar down to 30-35 grams a day - hardest thing I ever did, but the weight all came off!!!!
