Gymboree was too expensive for me. That is why I joined the Music Together instead. Plus he loves music so I thought it would work out great.
I think I'm leaning towards this more. She's so musical already, and I think she would love this. Ahhhh, decisions, decisions! Thanks, girls! I think I'll do the trial class and see what happens.
Rachel, Im sure you could teach this class (but its your vacation time! ) But hey, you should start your own little music side gig, with Ava as your assistant
You're too cute. It will be really weird to be on the other side of a music class!

I'm in NJ, so this may be different:
I pay $75 a month (that's less than $20 a class) and have a designated class to go to.
However once a month they have the "bubble pass" where you can go to any location that whole week for free.
Unfortunately, Long Island is quite a bit more expensive. I'm paying $239 for a 10 week session in E. Northport.

Re: Gymboree....worth the money or no?
When I initially joined it was in the summer. Usually they have a special deal in the summer and that combined with the free open play sessions, made it worth the money. I found that the indoor play was particularly nice in the summer when it was too hot to go to the playground during the day. I also did open play at more than one facility and would use this as a pre arranged play date with friends.

I didnt care for it. I went to a trial class.. no one talked to me, the mothers were very cliquey (sp?). Jacob also didnt like it. He practically cried the whole time. But then again, he doesnt seem to like much these days... So for me it wasnt worth the money.

Re: Gymboree....worth the money or no?
Alex absolutely loves it!!! BUT, we have an AWESOME teacher...the other teachers we tried were "ok". He is a ball of energy & these kids are amazed by him (as am I). We go to the E. Northport one, it was recently redone, it looks really nice now, the have a "Parent Pod" in the back where you can hang out before & after, watch dvds, have drinks & snacks, it's cool. In the Summer I believe you can enroll for Music class & get unlimited Gym classes! Good deal!
