Yesterday, I had a GYN procedure to, once and for all, end really heavy menstrual flows. It's called cryoablation. Has anyone ever had this done? What was the procedure like for you? Painful? Just "uncomfortable"? In the long run, did it help alleviate heavy flows?

I ask for feedback because while the procedure was fully explained to me, I really didn't think I would be as traumatized as I was. It was done with no sedation, no anesthetic, and when it was over, I felt generally crappy, in a good amount of pain and like somebody had beat the crap out of me.
