Had my 40 week appointment today....im so upset
Baby girl is doing great. I had a sono and everything looks good! They also hooked me up to a monitor and she looked great on there too. I'm upset because I have no progress! I'm not contracting at all as far as they could tell by looking at the monitor. I have to go back on fri for another sono to see how big she is and we'll discuss an induction date for next week. I'm so uncomfortable and wish she would just come already!!

Aww, don't be so upset Gail! Just means you are doing a great job at keeping her safe and warm ... she doesn't want to leave yet!

I'm due Friday, and only dialated 1 cm.....so when i go back to the doc. friday, i am begging to be induced.....i know how you feel!!!

I just posted on your FB but I wanted to post here too!!!
I think she's just going to decide it's time and POOF you'll have a SUPER EASY labor and delivery and then your baby girl will suddenly be in your arms!!
Progress means nothing -- you're so lucky they let you see her and you know she's well. You have no idea how hard it is not to have seen the baby in over 3 months. They told me they won't do a sono at this point because they say she's already in my pelvis and you couldn't see her well enough to measure right. I don't know... I hear so many women get them.
In any event... things will work out! Labor can just start so suddenly. You are surrounded by so much love and support, and so is your darling little girl. Everything will work out!!!

Believe me, I know how you feel. I had the same appt this am at 41 weeks. It's incredibly frustrating to hear. Hopefully you progress in the days to come. My doc has told me many times that most women just go into labor--they don't have symptoms or days of contractions leading up to it.

Please don't be upset..seriously I will tell my story over and over again to anyone.
I went in for my 39 week appt, no real progress since 36 weeks...Dr was already talking about when he would induce bc he didn't see me going any time soon...I had felt off all day that day and told him and he just wrote it off. I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced at that visit..That visit was at 10AM
8:30PM first real MAJOR contraction
10:30 at the hospital contractions are less than a minute apart 5CM dilated 100% effaced
1:30 DD was born after literally 4 pushes!!!
It can literally change in a second!!!!!

the minutes can almost seem like hours, she will come, hang in there, she's safe and warm.
And although you are READY - enjoy these last few moments/hours that she is in there - there will be many times that you wish still was still living within and that you could feel her kick....
soon she will be here :)

Awwwww Im sorry. I think you have made it to comfy for her. lol Get a pedicure with a leg massage. They say that brings on contractions. No idea why. lol Anyway im sorry your uncomfy but she will be here soon!

Thanks girls I should really be focusing on the positive- that my  is doing so well . But its hard when you are so uncomfortable and I just really want her to come because I think it will lift everyones spirits in my family being we've had such a rough couple of weeks with my mom passing away suddenly and all.
I guess she will come when she is ready.
