Had New Burner Installed Today with Drama
We had a new gas burner installed today by Burner King and there was some drama. A few minutes after the installers showed up, two cop cars pulled up to my house and told me there was an altercation among the installers. I did not hear any fighting and was totally caught off guard. Cops ended up coming into my house and questioned the installers about the problem. One of the installers ended up quitting right there an then and walked off the job. DH had to rush home from work because I was home alone when all of this happened. The job was completed by the remaining installers. My question is, Do you think I should try to get the installation price reduced because of this and considering that DH had to miss a whole day of work?

I would definitely call them and complain about the lack of professionalism. I mean your reputation could have been damaged when cops came to your house or something  I hope you get some $$ off for the trouble

I can tell you something about Burner King as I would NEVER recommend them. My dh worked there for a couple of days and quit because of what the installers were doing BEFORE going to someone's home.

I can tell you something about Burner King as I would NEVER recommend them. My dh worked there for a couple of days and quit because of what the installers were doing BEFORE going to someone's home.
This is so interesting because Burner King was highly recommended by someone from this site. The problems that caused cops to come to my home happened BEFORE the guys got to my house. Please FM me if you care to share any additional information.

I personally wouldn't. In my opinion it was that guy who quit and he obviously had issues or he wouldn't have walked off a job like that.
How long were the cops there? Why eactly did DH come home and were things still installed on time as promised?
Idk, seems like trying to take advantage of an unfortunate situation to me.
