had random day 3 today. i have a question!!
today is day 3 of my AF. i went in for bloodwork this morning and they said i would have my results later today. were they testing my hormone levels? is this how they determine what shots or meds i will be taking?

They look at hormones. I don't "think" it has anything to do with your meds. But, I guess they want to make sure all your levels are in the normal range.

They are probably testing your FSH, which should be below 10 and estradiol which should also be low. I've read below 50 is the best with estradiol. The lower the better. They just want to see what they are working with. Hope that helps. Has your DH done a SA yet?

I always get my blood results the same day - around 2:30pm or so.
What med's you will be on depends on your protocol. The day 3 tests are just to determine that your levels are fine and acts as a baseline.

is this your suppression cycle? If so you won't start med's right away. For me, I started lupron after I ovulated.

i was told they were testing for everything and my hormones to make sure all my levels were normal before i started on lurpon. something was high and they made me re do my blood work and fast for 24 hrs and everything came back fine best of luck!!!
