Halfway through '08...
I have to say....2008 started of REALLY rough all around.
I was forced to rethink my career path for the first time ever, got screwed over by a previous boss, worried about money, saw loved ones tackle obstacles and go through some tough situations...I kept b*tching out '08, especially after a tough '07.
Now, as we wrap up June and chug into the summer, I am truly much happier. Not everything is sunshine and roses and unfortunately DH and I continue to see tough situations with other family members..but much better than January.
I have a new job and still freelancing (stressful, but fruitful...both monetarily and creatively), we have a much better savings plan, and DH and I have grown a lot from the stressful world we lived in for a few months.
I am trying to remain upbeat and positive, even when stressed...and that has helped a bit.
How is your '08 so far?

Besides things being great with DH and my beautiful daughter...it seems that the rest of this year is going to be a struggle.
In the last 2 days we have been hit 3 times with bad news on people very close and dear to us.

Started VERY rocky with the passing of two close relatives in the beginning of February - both extremely young.  I also have been having some unexplained health issues which is very frustrating!
I was very ready to write the whole year off. But I got pregnant very easily at the beginning of March and things have turned around. I am now halfway through the pregnancy with my little  and we are in contract on a  .
Hope 2008 continues to get even better for me and everyone else!

My 2008 has been good so far! Way better than 2007.
My back has healed from my spinal fusion last year and I feel great.
My DD just got engaged.
Got to see 70 of my closest relatives last weekend. Some I haven't seen for awhile.
ALl in all this has been a pretty good year

Besides the fact that it is 6:08 and DH just called to tell me that he is leaving work now when he was expected home earlier since it is our anniversary........... life has been good.
My relationship with DH has gotten stronger and stronger.
My family is healthy. Crazy, but healthy.
Work is good.
School is done.
Life is good.

my 2007 was the best year ever (graduated, new car, new job, new place, got married, etc.) .... the beginning of 2008 was great, but I haven't really been feeling well these last few months.  I hope the end of 2008 gets much better!

Getting better...slowly...my divorce was final in Jan 08. I've returned to school and I'm in the best shape I've been in years! Going on a cruise in 3 weeks with some friends I haven't seen in a loooooong time...so, like I said...it's slow going but the year is getting better.

Getting better all the time- I really enjoy hanging out with my DD, she is growing into one cool chick, my relationship with my DH is going well, and other than my MIL living with us and worrying us with her illnesses, the year would be perfect so far

2007 was by far the worst year of my life - It started horrible but ended amazing. 2008 has been nothing but peaches. Its been a wonderful year so far for me. Everything has been going great & honestly, I couldn't be happier.

It has been by far, the worst year of my life so far. I am thinking at this point it can only get better. I can't believe its July already - pretty sad how fast time flies. I have recently started to do a bunch of things I have always wanted to do because before you know it...the year will be over again.

My beautiful baby is getting bigger and becoming a little boy so fast, that has been the best thing EVER.
We just closed on our first house, which is very exciting and a little scary.
But...we are facing some medical issues right now that are scary, so I would have to say 2008 has been a mixed bag for us, full of emotions.

2008 has had some ups and downs this year.
The bad:
Finding out i cant have my own bio babies..Ever!
There has been some deaths.
But that is the only two bad things so the good has out weighed it all.
For the good:
I have gotten close to some 'Great' friends.
I changed my habits with eating and i'm having a successful outcome and i'm exercising more.
I'm going on vacation with some friends.
I'm going to get a honda hybird in september and it will be either a 08 or 09.
Dh's little cousin who had lukemeia is in
Remission.

My 2008 has been "Ok".
Have relatives going through health problems and it sux. It's hard, but, I remain strong.
I did get to go away in March which was great and I hope we get to have a weekend get a away somewhere this summer.
I also hope by the end of the year I can announce that DS will be a big brother soon.

My first thought is to say that's its been Awesome, because i'm finally done with Nursing school and the plan that DH and i had set for ourselves 3 years ago has finally come together.
But, there's been alot of bad crap too. Health problems (playing musical hospitals) with my family and DHs, my parents getting divorced, (leading to other famly drama), trying to pack up my elderly aunts house and get her into assisted living, a suicide attempt by someone very close to me, and trying to study for my boards (which i hope turns into a positive to look back on, cause i sure as hellll dont want to have to take this test again!)  So, it hasn't been the smoothest....
But, for DH and I personally and as a couple, its been a great year. Thank god we had that going for us!
