Happiest CRANKY baby on the block.

Now there's a book I could write.

Here are the cliff's notes:

Mother gives birth to baby#1, angel...eats and sleeps well. No sensitivies or aversions. She has baby#2 and all hell breaks loose. He needs to be held, sang to, rocked, fed and held and fed(oh am I repeating myself?)...24/7. Mother and father nearly lose their minds until one day they give up trying to help him and just give in to WHATEVER works. They hold him as long as it takes, let him take entire naps on a blanket propped on his Boppy pillow, take walks around the blcok at 2am, etc...suddenly he fusses less. Suddenly, he too, is a happy baby.

My DH has decided #3 is questionable as DS has driven us mad in the past 8 weeks.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

If I don't laugh about it, I'll just fall apart.

At least you guys have great senses of humor! I'm already amazed, in my 4 weeks of being a mom, how much our little ones can drive us crazy but we'll do ANYTHING to make them happy!

Re: Happiest CRANKY baby on the block.

I guess I am finding myself in the same situation as you except my 1st had to be held, rocked to sleep all the time.

My secomd (almost 9 months old) until about a month agao was a breeezeee.
Thank Goodness his sleeping is great(oh God please dont let me have jinxed that) He goes in for naps and bedtimes asleep and falls asleep on his own.

However as good a sleeper he's been so irritable lately I am ready to rip my hair out. If I try to put him in anything (walker, exersaucer) he sceams bloody murder., His high chair you would think I was sending him to the electric chair. He just started pullin himself up and standing and wants to do this all day but theres just some times I cant stay on top of him to make sure he doesnt fall. Plus I have a 3 yr old to try and entertain too

I am tryiong to blame this all on teething too because as of yet we still have no teeth

Any tips fellow mommie???? On how to make my little guy happy again
