Hardwood floor color help - Updated

We are installing hardwood floors this week. They are going to be stained and we still haven't decided on a color.

DH wants to go dark, I want to stay in the middle.
Our walls are a tropical green and we have cathedral ceilings that are white. Our room lets in a lot of light.

The bedroom set that we like is a dark brown.

Can someone please help me????


Update:
We chose a color! I really forgot the name of it, I'll ask today.
This pic is of the floors stained only.
They are coming today to put down the 1st coat of poly.
This is really not what DH wanted, but he still loves it and so do I!

although dark wood is really pretty, i think it can tend to make a room look dark if you also have dark furniture. i say go with a medium tone. it'll work well with all finishes.

Go for "nut" tone. Ours are pecan and they are beautiful! This tone matches anything and everything.

Scratches show more on a dark stain, so I would go with medium.

We had the darkest stain done on our floors...I love dark.
