Has anyone ever heard about IVF grant?
My coworker was mentioning that a friend of her found out that the government gives you a grant if you and your spouse makes under a certain amount, she said something like under $200k a year. She said her friend called a number and they send her a package and now she has to take 2 classes before starting the cycle. Does anyone have any info on this?

Re: Has anyone ever heard about IVF grant?
Hi, There are certain IVF centers that you have to use in order to use the grant. SIRM is not one of them. But RMA, NSUH, LIIVF. There may be others I don't know of. And yes, you have to make less then 200K and it is a sliding scale based on your income. There are some other criteria as well, such as no abnormal CD3 bloodwork and you have to have no IVF ins coverage or have exhausted it. I'm sure there are more. Just so you know, with the economic issues, the money isn't there like it used to be. When I inquired at NSUH earlier this year they only were going to be able to have 1 or 2 more spots left. HTH!!

This would be my only option if it comes down to IVF for us since we have no ivf coverage and can't afford it on our own, but that would mean I'd have to change Dr's. That's a harsh reality.

I used the grant for my 1st IVF at Columbia. We have no coverage for anything IF related. It was a pretty simple process, just had to fill out paperwork and bring in copies of tax returns.

For us too if it comes to that, but not having Jeff would be a tough choice...

I didn't have any luck at Columbia and now I'm at Cornell.
