Has anyone gone through a 3rd party for a cell phone?
Like going through Best Buy or Joe Shmoe's Cell Shop?
We have AT&T and will be shopping for new phones soon. We plan on re-upping another 2 year contract with the phones. I see that the same phone sells for different prices at different places.
It is better/worse/the same to go through a 3rd party rather than the provider directly?

Radio shack has always had better deals IMO then the actual store itself.
EX: I have sprint and just got a brand new blackberry from radioshack for FREE when Sprint store wanted me to pay 75.00 for my upgrade. Radioshack also has deals if you turn in your old cell phone etc.

Best Friday on black friday. In and out and paid nothing for a Droid Increbile.
I would look online at amazon wireless and wirefly
You shouldn't have any worries. Just read the fine print. Best buy didn't have any small print to read.

Amazon wireless is really good with prices of devices. There should not be any problems.

We have only used third party dealers. Def the way to go. We have never had a problem and always get some great deals.

Re: Has anyone gone through a 3rd party for a cell phone?
I have used Walmart for At&T and Sprint and had great customer service and the prices are amazing. I got a new blackberry about a year and a half ago for $1! It was the newest model AT&T had at the time. Also it was no rebate just $1.
I just got DH a new BlackBerry for Sprint and it cost us $159 but we got a $100 walmart gift card and it was eligible for a Sprint $100 rebate so we actually made money on the phone.

I ordered my phones through Dell (complete fluke that I found that they sold phones) and on new service I got two Droid X's and a Droid 2 for free, when Verizon wanted $149.99 each for the phones even with a new contract.

DH will only use Best Buy for our Verizon phones. Somehow they have better deals. He got his BB Curve for free somehow!
