Has anyone used PODS to move OOS?
We are moving out of state and thought we may be able to move ourselves to save $$$. The PODS seem like a good idea since everything is locked up and it won't get moved on and off a truck at all.
Anyone use them? Know the price?

Re: Has anyone used PODS to move OOS?
My parents used them a few years ago when they moved...but they didnt move OOS....but they sold thier house and had to store them before they moved in their new place.
It was GREAT. WE packed everything up, they bought their own locks and the company came and took them away. Then they called when it was time to move and they dropped them off at the new place.
I dont remember exactly how much it was but it really was pretty reasonable!

If you're looking to do something like PODS, then DEF look into Upack. It's the same thing, but I believe it's much less than PODS.

Re: Has anyone used PODS to move OOS?
when i was moving OOS I called UPACK... i didn't end up using them for other reasons but their customer service was stellar! The one downfall is that you have a very short period of time when to load/unload your box (dependent upon the location you are moving to) but their prices were by far the best around.

I used PODS when we moved from LI to NJ and we didn't have any complaints. I will say it was hard fitting everything into their big POD and we didn't have a lot of stuff considering we were coming from a 3 bedroom house.
