Has anyone's DH/SO SA results come back really low/abnormal..

and it has been corrected? My SO is going for a SA on friday and I'm petrified that they are going to find something wrong that cannot be fixed. I just hope that if it is something, that it can be cured. I'm so nervous. I was reading that most male infertiility can be cured. I just hope this is true

I don't have any advice on this because my DH has never went for this test before. I actually would like to know where you get this done? I would like my DH to get this test. Is it at an RE, regular dr or my gyno?

Chances are that if there is a problem, it would not be so severe that there is nothing they can do to help. It does happen, but more often, it's either a low count, low motility, low morph or a combo of 2.

For example, my DH had excellent numbers except for his morphology being on the lower side. Even with those results, it was not a guarantee that that was interfering with our success at getting PG. He was referred to a urologist. However, he never went bc we ended up doing an IUI the next month and it was successful.

I still keep urging him to go to the urologist so that we don't have to go through all of this when it comes time to TTC number 2, but it's like pulling teeth.

I wouldn't get too worried. Even IF they find something, it's almost always correctable (is that a word??). Sometimes its as simple as a couple of months of taking some sort of herb/vitamin.

my DH has low morphology and borderline count. The urologist found he had bilateral variocele (basically large vericose veins which were keeping things too warm). He had surgery a week and a half ago. So, within a couple months we will know how it worked. However, on the other hand we did get preg. on our own before the surgery, unforutnately it ended up being chemical.
