I had my IUI exactly 7 days ago and I just realized that they never asked me to make an appt for a progesterone check... just a beta at 14dpo. I have always had low progesterone, as in levels of 5-6 when I was pregnant both times. Do you think I should go in or just wait for my beta and if it's low then, start supps? I haven't really pushed the issue bc I really don't want to go through the false symptoms that I get from the supps just to end up with a BFN... stupid logic, I know. WWYD?

Thanks - I'm going to call tomorrow and see what they say. I'm wondering if it will make a huge difference if I start supps now or after I get a BFP... If I get a BFP! Chat Icon

How are you feeling??? I've been having twinges on my left side since yesterday... I hope this is a good sign! Chat Icon

I had a couple of days of really bad symptoms from the hcg but they went away. Some strange twinges but not reading into anything. This tww had been the longest yet.

I was always on progesterone from the start.. or from 7dpo (it varied by cycle). There's no harm to being on it and at least you know you're covered!! Dr.B puts everyone on them, standard...

MY RE only tests your progesterone if you're known to have low progesterone or if you request it.

I liked having mine tested for peace of mine.

However, if you have a history of low progesterone I'd demand that I have it tested on an IUI cycle.

I'm going in tomorrow morning for a quick blood test just for peace of mind. I'm sure I'll be starting supps tomorrow since I've never ever had a cycle without them. Thanks again ladies!
