NO, NEVER!! I waited WAY too many tables to help pay my way through school. I actually feel bad for waitstaff when they are swamped. I actually taught DH to be a better tipper.

Oh but I should add that if we have a waiter/ess that REALLY stinks I am by no means rude or nasty just not as nice and smiley as I usually am - and I still tip above average but not as much as I would normally give.

I was...AFTER we ate though! We were in FL and we will Never go back to this restaurant/bar again!
Waitress was such an arse, we left a $1 and has the nerve to say to dh, "YOu only left me $1..'..Ok, so dh threw in one more and walked out. We were a table of 6 and a baby!
Freakin morons!
Im usually really, really good in restaurants, I don't want "surprises" in my food.

I know someone who is ALWAYS obnoxious to wait staff when we go out. Hence, I never go out with him anymore. It is so embarrassing. I always apologize to the waiter or waitress and over tip to compensate for their rudeness.

No, I am not obnoxious to anyone unless provoked by extreme rudeness.
One of my old friends was like that. If the waitress brought out the wrong item, she would shove it towards her, say this is wrong in a really nasty tone and make a face.

We have a friend who is so totally rude to waitstaff we are embarrassed to go out to dinner with him (we don't anymore).
I am not, I used to be a waitress, hardest job I ever had.

Oh that is my father!!! I will NOT go to restaurants with him anymore for this reason- he is so  and I always find myself making excuses to go back into the restaurant to slip the waiter/waitress more money in their tip because he is so rude!

Yes - ex-boyfriends. People can be as nice to me as they want. If they're rude to waitstaff, I think poorly of that person.

I'm NEVER rude to them.. I'm always scared of that they would do to my food. I did complain last week at Outback because there was a hair in my food but I told them that I didnt want a replacement

Not waitstaff, but I have been lately to people in stores. I had to go to David's Bridal and the employees were all sitting around chatting (about 8 of them), eating lunch, and pointedly ignoring me standing there, money in hand to pay for 10 mins. I finally said excuse me, is anyone working here or are you all on lunch?
That was actually much nicer than they deserved. Hate, HATE david's bridal.
