Have you ever rented a car with car seats?
We are flying to AZ next week. Would really prefer NOT to lug 2 car seats with us on the plane.

Re: Have you ever rented a car with car seats?
I did and it wasn't the best situation. DD was just over 12 months and they only had infant seats or forward facing seats. Luckily we were able to make the infant seat work, but it wasn't the best quality one and DD wasn't that comfortable. If you have the option to bring your own it's best, but if not, call the location you'll be renting from directly to ensure that they have the type of seat you need.

This is our first time flying with 2 children.
I'm just picturing the 4 of us trying to get to the rental car with a double stroller, 2 car seats and all our luggage. I picture misery!

That's exactly why I rented one. I was traveling alone with DD and there was no way that I could carry it all. I'm sure that it will be fine. Read reviews on the rental companies to see what others have experienced and make sure you call the specific location. The corporate offices have no idea what each location has in stock.

Re: Have you ever rented a car with car seats?
I did in Hawaii LOVED IT!
The seat was rented separately from the car actually, they delivered it to the car rental. We had to install it (insurance issues im sure). Convertible and it was very clean and comfy. Ended up being like $6 a day.
I REFUSE to lug a car seat to the airport. Never gonna happen.

Re: Have you ever rented a car with car seats?
We did it 2x in disney with no issues. DS was 22 months and 35 months each time so we got a forward facing seat. IF I was traveling with my infant however I think I might consider taking his car seat...not really sure my reasoning but thats my first thought.
