Re: Have you rec'd clothing?
Don't worry, you'll get a lot of clothes! I got some at my shower, but I found that the most came after DS was born....even from people that knew our parents (like their coworkers)

Have you rec'd clothing?
I didn't get many at my shower, I was Team Green. BUT when everyone came to see DD I go plenty of clothes. For the first 6 months, I only bought special occasion outfits!

Have you rec'd clothing?
I got presents from people that really surprised me! My family's coworkers, neighbors, even DH's vendors at work!

Re: Have you rec'd clothing?
For DD #1, we received TONS of clothing at the shower (nothing before the shower). I mean TONS. Two huge tupperwares full. Almost all newborn, 0-3m and 3-6m. She didn't even wear most of it becuase she grew out of the sizes before she was able to wear all the outfits, and she wasn't a huge baby or anything. People love giving clothing, and baby clothing is cheap, so we got baskets full from some people, a few outfits as an adder from others.
We also received a bunch of outfits after she was born.

Re: Have you rec'd clothing?
Thanks everyone!
The only reason I questioned was that all of the people I know who were telling me they got tons of clothes all had a lot of of the clothes at this point in their pregnancies. So, when I didn't - and I'm looking in the closet at two outfits lol one that I bought myself b/c I'm a Met fan, I thought hmmm should I go out and buy a bunch?? Am I unprepared?
So, then I figured I would ask to see WHEN most people get the clothes they get because if most people got tons at the shower, there's no reason for me to buy anything now. We are having a boy and everyone knows so that should help. I think I also wondered because I have no hand me down options -- SIL has a son but is keeping her clothing, she probably feels she should keep it in case her #2, whenever that happens, is a boy. My nephew is now eleven lol so those clothes were donated. That's it for us :) This is only the second grandchild on both sides.
Thanks everyone
