HCG not quite doubling, almost 9 weeks
Hey guys....I was worried last week because I "lost" some symptoms, however they do seem to be back. B/c I was worried my doc had me go in last Wed and Fri for blood. Wed the hcg was 90,484. Fri was 97,000. Progesterone is 19. The doctor just called and said this is totally fine, that the numbers look good and my HCG won't keep doubling now. But I'm still worried because I read it should go up until week 10. I know....I worry so much. I have an appt. tomorrow and she said we'd do a sono. Please keep your fingers crossed! Did anyone have similar hcg?

HCG stops doubling early on. I think mine both times stopped doubling around the 6 week mark. Usually once there is a heartbeat the numbers slow down. As it is, the numbers don't have to double, a 60% increase is perfectly adequate.. I don't even know what my numbers were at 9 weeks since after I was released from my RE my OB never gave me that kind of information.

I agree with this. My RE actually never gave me the actual #s which was better because I obsessed with them whenever I was given them by my OB. The important thing is that you saw the HB.

ok, that makes me feel better. we heard the heart at 7 weeks. she wasn't worried....but I was expecting to hear 100 something and when I didn't I wasl ike.....uh oh

Yep-mine stopped doubling about week 7 or 8 because it was so high. progesterone is good-anything above 15 is perfect I didn't know you were pregnant! Congratulations

thanks, girls. and oh yes, i'm preggo. :) we miscarried in the winter at about 7 weeks, blighted ovum, so I feel like I'm just very panicky. Trying to enjoy things....but on edge.

Yes, I've read that they stop doubling after a certain point. If your dr says it's fine, I'm sure it is.

mine definitely stopped doubling early - probably around 7 weeks AND i am having twins and my betas were always on the low side! i never reached anywhere near 90,000!
