HCG Question...need opinions>>>UPDATED

Hi Ladies...

I'm in hiding right now but I need some adivce/opinions...I'll try to keep it short

Got my BFP on 4/19
On 4/21 (about 5w3d) starting having spotting...went to the doc didn't see anything on the sono and sent me to get my beta #s
First test on 4/21 was 22
Second test on 4/23 was 39
Third test on 4/25 was 89
I had period like bleeding for 5 days starting on the 21st

Started having minor cramping and spotting again last night and went to the doc...still nothing on the sono and the doc said she doesn't think anything will happen with this pregnacy and wanted me to go for beta testing again today and once more this coming friday to see how my numbers are going down to decide if i will miscarry on my own or if i will need a D&C

Just got the results from this morning and my numbers didn't go down...went up to 343

Don't want to get my hopes up but does anyone have any experience with something like this?

Could my dating be that far off or could I have ovulated 2x??? Should have O'd around 3/28-3/30

Just don't know what to think....




UPDATE: I got my results back from today's Beta and it went back down to 79...doc said its def a MC and I've probably already passed everything when I had the heavy bleeding and cramping last week. She said no need for a D&C and I can try again after my AF. Thanks so much to everyone for their input

based on your dates and your betas, there is no way you ovulated since the BFP and are pregnant again, and you don't ovulate twice in your cycle (well its extremely extremely rare). based on your O date and first beta date, your ovulation date is probably off and it seems more likely that you Oed somewhere around 4/3 or 4/4. if you truly did ovulate around 3/30 then your numbers are very very low since you would be 6-7w pregnant and see a heartbeat by now.

so all of that being said, your numbers are def not where they should be at all, but numbers aren't always the be all end all. there's always hope as long as your numbers are going up its a good sign. but def ask your doctor about ectopic and try to get your beta done every 48 hours. you should see around a 60% or more increase every 48 hours to signify a healthy pregnancy. good luck!

Thanks!....I asked the doc about ectopic and they checked my tubes during the 3 sonos i've had so far and haven't seen anything. She also said that i would be in a lot of pain and i've only had minor cramping so far.
I guess there is a chance i O'd late but the last time we was on 3/30 so i doubt it would have been much later then that....this is just so damn frustrating!!!

I'm sorry you are going through this. It's good they are looking for an ectopic. I don't think they would see anything in your tubes at this stage since the embryo is tiny but I could be wrong. That said, I got all the way to 8 weeks with an ectopic that went undetected and I never had pain until that point. Not trying to scare you but please be sure they keep a close eye on you.

i think it is a good sign ur numbers r going up..when r they repeating the beta?

do u have a sono set up? did the bleeding stop

i will not sugar coat it..the numbers def do seem low

but i am no doctor and this seems like one of the cases where u just have to ride the storm out and see what happens
