Heartbeat and Gender- Old Wives Tale
So today I had a sono at 7 weeks 3 days and the heartbeat was 162 bpm, the sono tech guessed it was a girl based on the "heartbeat old wives tale," I just wanted to see how many of you that know the gender now, if this was actually true for you?

I had a sono at 8w1d, heartbeat was 168bpm and I am having a girl.

My bubbie's heartbeat was 156 @ 7.5 wks. ! wk later, it was 172. We are only 10 wks and are planning to stay  . I guess we will see in about 7 months.

My sonos showed heart rates all over 150 and I'm having a girl. The same was true with my 1st!

The first time we heard the HB it was 168, it's now in the 150's and it's a The only old wives tales that held true for me was that I had little nausea and I have a linea nigra that goes all the way up past my belly button. Otherwise, all symptoms pointed to girl.

My first pregnancy, baby's heartbeat was always over 160. I told DH I suspected a girl bc of the old wives tale and the tech said, honestly that's completely false. Baby's heart rate changes based on how many weeks you are and whether baby is active at the moment or resting.
Well, she was right. I had a DS!

Im 11.5 weeks and my babys hr has gone as high as 182bpm. I guess we will find out in about a month !

DD heartbeat at our 1st appointment she was 182. Every time after that it was always really high. Between 170-185.

When I was pregnant with my , the heartrates were always high so I believed the Old Wive's Tale.
This time, the heartrates were all high in the beginning (at 7, 8, 9 and 13 weeks) so I was thinking . But, it's a ! My OB said that in the first 10 weeks, the heartrates are usually high and the Old Wive's Tale is really more of an indicator in mid-pregnancy.

at our 10w2d sono the HR was 173. we were team green and had a baby girl!
i think the sono pics in my album have heart rates in the captions.
